Soldiers, some in drag, performing in the concert party "The Goods". Photographic postcard, 191-.
"The Goods"
Two characters at the centre of the stage are fighting over something, surrounded by other actors. The company "The Goods" was attached to the 58th (London) Division in France. The concert party for this Division was particularly well organized and supplied, with semi-professional performers such as the famous Alouette (see Wellcome Library no. 2060626i)
Part of James Gardiner Collection: photographs of military, naval, and prisoner-of-war camp drag.
