A group of men on the deck of a ship, some in drag. A joyous scene on board one of His Majesty's battleships in the 1920s. Some of the crew having a party (possibly 'Crossing the Line)'. Some of the drag is convincing, complete with silk stockings and lots of make-up. No wigs were needed for female impersonation in this period, as women of fashion had all been 'shingled' and had less hair than the menfolk
