Warden and West, comedy stars of the Windmill Theatre: the duo are male comedians in drag playing parts of saucy old Irish women, Biddy and Fanny. The set is designed to look like a park, the two sit on a bench. In the sketch, Fanny is writing a love story. Biddy mocks her and laughs at her literary efforts. Biddy mocks Fanny's husband Harry's lack of sex appeal, Fanny replies "Two stouts and a plate of whelks and Harry is a menace to our sex!"
