Letter written by Dr. Alan L. Hart, an American physician, radiologist, tuberculosis researcher, and writer to Mary Roberts Rinehart, an American mystery writer and nurse. Hart is known as one of the first trans men to undergo hysterectomy in the United States. In this letter, Hart discusses sending the manuscript of his autobiography to Rinehart for her evaluation. He notes that he has always been interested in writing and has been keeping "a sort of journal of a doctor's life" as well. Hart closes by asking whether he can visit Rinehart and her husband when he is visiting Montana.
