Part of James Gardiner Collection: photograph album labelled ‘Drag’.
Dr. Evadne Hinge and Dame Hilda Bracket, as played by George Logan and Patrick Fyffe, posing comically, one holding a small glass (of wine?) behind the other, who faces the viewer. A publicity card signed in ink by Hinge and Bracket, from the late 1980s. Patrick Fyffe (1942-2002) and George Logan (born ca. 1940) were female impersonators who never appeared in public out of character. Their popular television show 'Dear ladies', screened 1983-1985 presented them as a pair of cultured and musical elderly spinsters, performing comic sketches as well as light opera and musical comedy numbers, with Fyffe as Dame Hilda Bracket making full use of his falsetto mezzo-soprano voice accompanied by Logan as Dr Evadne Hinge at the piano (James Gardiner)
