Digital Transgender Archive
In this interview with Sebastián Casto Niculescu, Aelita Parizek discusses their journey of discovery both with their transness and in the art world. Parizek explains how their experiences at Parsons School of Design and Rhode Island School of Design and the respective cities in which these universities are located have shaped their career in the art world and conceptions of art. Additionally, Parizek touches on the relationship between their artwork and their body, particularly regarding their gender transition and experience with hormones. Parizek uses their artwork to represent social movements as well, speaking in particular about a project specifically intended for sex workers.
