Located in the heart of Treaty 1 Territory and the traditional lands of the Metis Nation, the University of Winnipeg is a diverse, multicultural urban campus committed to academic excellence, community engagement, and social and environmental sustainability. The University of Winnipeg Archives’ collection mandate aligns with this mission statement in its efforts to document the history of the University of Winnipeg, the local community, as well as support the research interests of faculty and staff, including reconciliation with Indigenous peoples, social justice, and human rights.
