This collection contains items from the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, most of which focus on the lives of Maori people. Many of the items were from the Evergreen Cafe, a hub for the LGBTQ+ and Drag communities in Wellington, New Zealand. Chrissy Witoko and Carmen Rupe were prominent figures in the community and many of the items in the collection come from their personal collections.
