Interview with Vanessa Sheridan

Vanessa Sheridan is a white transgender woman raised in the South. At the time of this interview, Sheridan was the Director of Transgender Relations and Community Engagement at Center on Halsted (Chicago IL). In this oral history, Sheridan speaks at length about the Center on Halsted, her involvement with the City of Lakes Crossgender Community, and the 1996 International Foundation for Gender Education (IFGE) Conference. She also touches upon pride and shame, touring with her rock band called Easy during the 1970s, her family relationships, and religion.
