Ash Farah is a East African/Black trans man who has lived in New York, Minnesota, and "the middle part of East Africa". A the time of this interview he was attending college in Minneapolis. In this oral history he touches upon topics such as growing up in an Islamic household, homelessness, Cafe SouthSide, and immigrating to America post-9/11. He also talks about his family relationships, his experiences with racism, and being intersex. Lastly, he touches upon his hopes and plans for the future.
