Kylar Broadus is a Black male from Fayette, Missouri. At the time of this interview, Broadus was working as a lawyer and an activist based out of Washington D.C. In this oral history, Broadus discusses topics such as his early realizations of his gender from a young age; his relationship with his father; his spirituality; employment discrimination; life as a Black man; respect and disrespect of leaders in movements for people of color and trans people; racism; his experience with transitioning; being a parent; dating while trans; and power, privilege, and liberation.
