Paulina Angel is a Hispanic trans woman from Indio, California. At the time of this interview, Angel was working as the Executive Director of the Transgender Community Project. In this interview she speaks at length about some of her work in passing the Fair Education Act in California. She also describes her experiences with language and identity; coming out to her family; physical violence; and the continuous need to fight for transgender communities.
