James Schwartz is a white trans man from Monticello, Minnesota. He discusses growing up in a conservative town, and his relationships with his family. He talks about his trans identity, and the impact growing up with a queer grandmother who was active in the LGBT community. He gives his thoughts on the Program in Human Sexuality, and talks about working at the Gender and Sexuality Center for Queer and Trans Live at the University of Minnesota, as well as his studies at the university.
