Digital Transgender Archive
Quinn Villagomez, also nicknamed Shimmer, is a biracial Hispanic female based in Minnesota. In this interview Villagomez talks about the field of radio and broadcasting, including her work co-hosting Fresh Fruit on KFAI Radio (Minneapolis). Villagomez also discusses her experiences in the drag community, cultivating self-confidence, her upbringing and family relationships, and pop culture's lack of recognition for trans people of color.
